About Me

MY STORY

Photography since 1981, aircraft maintenance since 1984

I experienced photography during one of its most formative eras — the tail end of the all-film age. In the mid-1980s, learning to develop film in a darkroom was almost a rite of passage: handling the chemicals, watching the image appear on paper under red light, and physically understanding exposure and contrast gave photographers a deep, tactile connection to their craft.
Since then, photography has undergone a complete transformation. The introduction of digital sensors in the 1990s and affordable DSLRs in the 2000s replaced light-sensitive film with pixels, and the darkroom with software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Now, image editing happens in minutes rather than hours.
Yet many of the principles I learned in 1981 still apply — exposure balance, the “exposure triangle” (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), and composition remain foundational. Even digital photographers today benefit from understanding film’s constraints, because it teaches patience, light judgment, and intentionality.

Exodus Jet Photography

My aviation career began in 1984 in the United States Navy, where I served as a jet engine mechanic aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal. After my military service, I earned my A&P licenses and continued my career working on a wide range of aircraft.

I started out maintaining P-51 Mustangs and later gained experience with commercial aircraft, though the majority of my career has been dedicated to business jets—primarily Falcon and Gulfstream.

Today, I combine my lifelong passion for aviation with photography to deliver high-quality aircraft images through Exodus Jet Photography. With decades of hands-on experience, I understand the importance of safety, professionalism, and respect when working around your aircraft.

If you’re looking for competitive pricing and professional results from someone who truly understands aviation, I’d be glad to work with you.
